Today President Trump announced that he will not support the current Democratic proposal for a new stimulus package. This sent the markets into a sharp decline. While I do not claim to have a crystal ball, it IS interesting I think that our proprietary model has been shifting us out of the markets for several weeks now, allowing us to avoid most of the recent volatility.
In the many years since I developed 'Chuckonomics', I've seen this play out many times. I think it may be because our markets are a great reflection of the human psyche. Not that we can predict, but rather detect when risk is elevated. Certainly not perfect, we don't get it right every time, but we get it right often enough.
